At Syd's Daycare, we've carefully designed our daily schedule to provide a well-rounded experience that balances learning, play, rest, and nourishment. Our routine is thoughtfully crafted to cater to the developmental needs and interests of each age group. Once enrolled you will be provided with a general outline of what a typical day looks like based on your child's age and need. 

At Syd's Daycare, we believe in fostering a positive and respectful environment where children learn to manage their behavior and emotions in a supportive manner. Here's a few ways we handle discipline and behavioral challenges:

Parent Partnership: We maintain open communication with parents regarding any behavioral challenges their child may face. We work together to address concerns and implement consistent strategies both at home and at our daycare.

Time-In: In situations where a child needs a moment to calm down or reflect, we offer a "time-in" rather than a time-out. A quiet space is provided where they can regain their composure, with a staff available to support and guide them.

Modeling Behavior: Our staff serve as role models, demonstrating respectful and positive behavior. Children often learn by observing, and we make sure to exhibit the behaviors we want to see in them.

At Syd's Daycare, the health and safety of our children and staff are of paramount importance. We follow guidelines from health authorities to determine when a child should be kept home due to illness. Children with the following symptoms or conditions are generally excluded from attending our daycare:

• Fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher within the last 24 hours.
• Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours.
• Severe coughing, difficulty breathing, or persistent runny nose.
• Contagious diseases such as chickenpox, strep throat, covid 19, or pink eye (conjunctivitis).

At Syd's Daycare, we prioritize the safety and well-being of the children entrusted to our care. Currently, we do not provide transportation services for children in a vehicle. Our focus is on creating a secure and enriching environment within our daycare facility where children can learn, play, and grow.

The safety and security of the children under our care are of paramount importance! We have implemented a comprehensive range of security measures to ensure that your child is in a safe and protected environment. Here's an overview of our security practices:

Secured Access: Our daycare facility is equipped with controlled access points. Entry and exit are closely monitored, and only authorized personnel and parents or guardians are allowed to enter the premises.

Identification and Sign-In: Parents and guardians are required to sign their children in and out of the daycare. We use a secure digital system that ensures accurate record-keeping and enhances accountability.

• Authorized Pickup: We maintain a list of individuals authorized to pick up each child. We verify identities and cross-reference with the authorized list to ensure a safe and seamless pickup process. ONLY those listed individuals are permitted to collect children from our facility. NO EXCEPTIONS
